Regents Commended Schools:
Orchard Farms Elementary School
Stonehill School
Woodridge School
Schools identified for improvement:
Cranston High School West
Analysis Paragraph:
The Cranston district is an economically diverse area, and had the schools been separated as such, the results probably would have been drastically different. Compared with similar students statewide, the Cranston elementary schools seem to be above average, the middle schools are just about average, and high schools are below the averages of similar students. In fact, none of the three high schools are above standards for math, reading, or writing. Three schools are Regents' Commended Schools, and Cranston High School West has been identified for improvement.
